Wolfgang Brandl

Howdy, that’s the typical greeting. Doesn’t really sound Bavarian, but that describes Wolfgang Brandl quite well. The opportunity to travel a lot and the thrill of racing are the biggest motivators for him. And so he has cycled in many parts of the world, on the road bike, but also on the MTB and gravel bike (most recently at the 2022 Gravel World Championships for Germany). His successes include winning the Detroit Cycling Championships, finishing third in a stage of the Tour de Senegal and a 4th stage finish in the Vuelta a Venezuela.

Reliability and good organisation are his strengths. Wolfgang likes to keep a cool head even in emergency situations, which he has certainly learned during his 70 crossings of the Alps and his many other cycling journeys.
