The thinker in the team
His first contact with cycling as a young boy: Team Gerolsteiner and its impressive fleet of team cars took up residence in the small Swabian village where Max grew up. At the age of eight, he watched the Tour de France on television for the first time and decided for himself: this is my sport, this is my passion. He spent his time as a junior rider in his adopted home of Berlin, switched to the Pushbikers in 2022, and he particularly impressed us with his 9th place in the U23 classification at last years Sibiu Cycling Tour.
For Max it is clear: cycling creates experiences and bonds that can be as close and intense as few things in life. He talks about this in his podcast “Krachen Gehn” with Alpecin Deceuninck colleague Maurice Ballerstedt. Max has also been studying journalism since 2022 and publishes “ehrlichberlin”, a weekly political podcast from the German capital.
