Racing

Attaching the start number. Fight your way through. Reaching the finish line. What we experience in the process is as significant as trophies and medals.

Racing is vital part of the Pushbikers DNA

We create an environment where talent, ambition, community, and genuine joy for cycling come together. Two female riders and five male riders share our passion and carry forward the Pushbikers’ racing expertise.

They continue our long-standing international racing experience. Gravel and track are their terrain. Raising the bar – once again.

Gravel

A mixture of road cycling, mountain biking and adventure – that’s how you could describe gravel. Races such as Unbound Gravel and The Traka have long enjoyed cult status. Since the first UCI Gravel World Championships, it has also been clear that this young discipline combines lifestyle with a great deal of riding technique, body awareness and situational awareness. Not to mention the vertical meters, steep climbs and descents in the terrain that the riders have to master in international gravel races. Two Pushbikers will be taking part in the 2026 Gravel World Championships.

Track

The wooden oval is the origin of the Pushbikers story. Whether at the six-day races from October to February, at the Revolution race series in Great Britain or the big track races on the disc in Melbourne or on concrete in Bendigo, Australia – the Pushbikers have made a name for themselves in the endurance disciplines on the track. In the Madison, points race, elimination race and even the single/team pursuit, endurance, good race overview and tactics, as well as coordination, precise use of slipstream and line choice are essential. It is not for nothing that so many of the well-known road pros come from the track.

Criterium

Fast pace on a circuit course: the riders complete many laps in the criterium. Often in city centers or industrial areas, spectators can see the peloton again and again. Points can be collected through intermediate sprints. Victory does not go to the rider who finishes first, but to the rider with the most points. Technically demanding, fast and winding – national and international criteria have been part of the Pushbikers racing calendar from the very beginning. The double Pushbikers victory at the New York Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classics, for example, remains unforgettable.

Triathlon

Triathlon is the combination of swimming, cycling and running. One after the other. Without a break. Getting up to speed immediately after the swim in the wet and cold and dosing your own power over the 180 km distance is the part that particularly fascinates us push bikers. As the longest discipline in the triathlon, cycling is physically, technically and tactically decisive for the course of the race. It is therefore worth working on the bike, the riding position and aerodynamics in particular – something we test with our elite athlete Johanna and also work on with customers in the Pushbikers store.

Pushbikers
Future Stars

Live cycling, even at a young age? How do you combine tough training and all-out racing with loads of fun?
That’s exactly what our Future Stars are all about. They’re the Pushbikers’ junior team and have been tearing it up on the road and track at German and European championships for years.

Team Kit

The Pushbikers jerseys are a trademark. Every year different — yet instantly recognizable. They showcase our love for design, creative exploration, and innovation. For over 10 years.

Moritz Augenstein

He is the reigning world champion in the scratch race, as well as the European champion in the Madison and the derny. In track cycling, Moritz is a force to be reckoned with. He laid the groundwork for his success alongside Pushbikers team manager Christian Grasmann. Thanks to their partnership spanning over 10 years, there are very few athletes who have been part of the Pushbikers team longer than Moritz. With nearly 30,000 kilometers on the bike each year, it’s now clear to him: cycling means living for performance—and the chance to shape himself exactly as he wants. Yet Moritz is a realist through and through; he gets annoyed by bad drivers and rejoices at the summit when the descent begins.

Jaro Bräunig

The crit scene has been his passion so far, but in his second year with the Pushbikers, Jaro is focusing on off-road terrain, where he can also draw on his XCO experience. As a trained bicycle mechanic, it drives him crazy when something on his bike isn’t working perfectly. He is the driving force behind our elite team and the head mechanic for the Team Gravel Bikes.

Leon Echtermann

300 kilometers in a single day, averaging 300 watts. Leon already pulled that off five years ago with the Pushbikers. Cycling is his passion, and he’s got a certain amount of craziness about him. He loves being able to clear his head while riding, has already won the German TTT Championship twice, and finds a life without competition meaningless. By 2026, he plans to add success in the gravel segment to his special skills, which already include long sprints and time trials.

Laura Kastenhuber

She has already won medals at the German Track Championships, has been part of the Pushbikers since she was 12, and has grown up with us. Gravel is a new challenge for Laura, one she’s eager to take on. What she loves most about cycling is the need to constantly push beyond her own limits—and the camaraderie among the athletes.

Sarah Kastenhuber

Sarah loves mountains and long races; she gained her first racing experience with the Maloja Pushbikers Future Stars and has already completed a Grand Tour as a professional road cyclist. By qualifying for the 2025 Gravel World Championships, she has fulfilled a lifelong dream. It’s the toughness, the long distances, and pushing her physical and mental limits that drive Sarah in gravel riding—that mix of adventure, freedom, and unpredictability. In everyday life, she’d swap a bar for a slice of cake in a heartbeat and finds inspiration in architecture, art, and photography.

Kilian Koller

Pushing the limits. Kilian comes from a cross-country skiing background and has already competed in Junior and U23 World Championships. He knows his endurance capabilities well; he’s been an ambitious cyclist since 2025 and has also raced in criteriums and gravel races with the Pushbikers. His favorite routes: the Albula and Julier Passes in the Swiss Alps. His ultimate goal: to make it to the World Championships in gravel racing as well.

Marian Reineck

He grew up in East Frisia, where people do everything by bike. On the road, he has already become the German runner-up in the team time trial. It’s the adrenaline, the speed, and the social aspect that Marian loves about cycling. Long distances on a gravel bike, like in the Traka 360, fascinate him—“that requires not only endurance but also bike handling skills, concentration over long periods, and the right nutrition strategy.” New to the Pushbikers in 2026, he shares our fundamental belief: to experience and shape cycling in all its facets.
