2022 racing season begins with two top 10 finishes

Our racing season starts with two top ten results in the first two one-day races (cat. 1.2). Filippo Fortin rides to ninth place twice in Croatia. A short overview here.

Our line-up
for the start of the season:

Liam Bertazzo, Corey Davis, Filippo Fortin, Felix Meo, Philip Weber and Tim Wollenberg. This heralds the goal for the whole year: with a lead rider supported by an experienced pro, a climber and three young riders. Teamwork is already the motto – this is how we continue the experiences from the time spent together in the race so far.

After the joint training camp on Lake Garda, it was time for six of our Pushbikers: Odlazak u Hrvatsku! Off to Croatia for two one-day races and the four-day tour of the Istrian Sprin Trophy (UCI KAT. 1.2 and 2.2).

“Adjusting the sprint train even better“

The result: two races, two top ten positions. Filippo Fortin was able to sprint to 9th place in both the Umag Trophy over 154 km and the Porec Trophy. We are happy about this solid first result and the good cooperation of our pushbikers. “We speculated on a podium finish, as we did on Wednesday. But we need to get the sprint train in more. We didn’t want Filippo Fortin to push through on his own today to get a better result. We are going through that process right now. Although there was much more in it, we also had some good learning effects today and are satisfied with Fortin’s ninth place,” Sporting Director Rupert Hödlmoser told radsport-news.com after the Porec Trophy.

“The question is not what you look at,
but what you see."

The Pushbikers have set a first “mark”. We keep our fingers crossed for the four racing days of the Istrian Spring Trophy that are now coming up, as well as for the racing events that follow, the Circuit Greece as well as the Grand Prix Phosos and the Tour of Rhodes (20.03 as well as 24.- 27.03.2022).
