Anyone watching the race in Kempten could easily have thought there was a fourth Pushbikers rider on the start line: three-time track world champion Roger Kluge. A long-time companion of Moritz Augenstein and team manager Christian Grasmann, Kluge blended seamlessly into the team’s tactics and worked closely with Jaro Bräunig in the lead group throughout the race.

While Jaro Bräunig and Roger Kluge dictated the race at the front, Moritz Augenstein controlled the pace in the peloton, working alongside Leon Echtermann to prevent the chasing riders from closing the gap. With repeated accelerations, Leon also kept disrupting the rhythm of the bunch, ensuring the chase never truly gained momentum.

In the closing stages, Roger Kluge made the decisive move, breaking clear to take a convincing victory. Jaro Bräunig held on to his position until the finish and was rewarded for his strong ride with third place, behind Dario Rapps (RSC Kempten).

It was a successful return to the road for the Pushbikers before the team’s focus shifts back to their respective specialties. Reigning Scratch World Champion Moritz Augenstein now returns to the track, while Jaro Bräunig, Leon Echtermann and the rest of the gravel squad turn their full attention to next weekend’s German Gravel Championships at the Nürburgring.
