How and when did you get into cycling?

I started my cycling career at the end of 2012. A friend motivated me to try this sport. He had already been riding a road bike for a few years. The first trainings were not exactly on the bike, we played basketball and football and did some exercises.

Greatest sporting successes

My biggest success so far was becoming European Champion in the team pursuit in Aigle in 2018. I also came 4th in the individual pursuit at the European Championships. I am also proud of my 13th place in the time trial in 2019.

What are your goals for the season?

I want to improve, give everything for the team in the races. Beat my personal records. Become national time trial champion, compete at the European and World Championships and show myself. I also want to improve my mountain skills.

What does cycling mean to you?

Cycling is a fun adventure for me. I can stop at any time, I don’t feel pressure to do it because otherwise my life will fall apart. I keep cycling because I still have a lot to show. I know that I can get much better with time. Cycling is something exciting, it gives me opportunities, I travel the world, meet new people, don’t have a boring job or one I don’t like.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

At this point I see myself in the World Tour, already competing in the Olympics and with some savings in my account 😉

What or who inspires you?

I think my parents inspire me. They have achieved a lot even though they have so little compared to me and work really hard. Also people who are themselves and don’t care what other people say inspire me.
